1. Not all heroes wear capes—some carry lesson plans, healing hands, and boundless compassion. In this anthology, we shine a light on the everyday warriors who shape our world: teachers, nurses, volunteers, social workers, and countless others whose quiet dedication changes lives.

These are stories of resilience, sacrifice, and the undeniable power of community. Of individuals who refuse to stand by, who rise up when others falter, proving that true change isn’t driven by grand gestures alone, but by the steady, unwavering commitment to something greater than themselves.

1. In Dark Hearts, we seek stories of those who have been shattered by their pasts—souls scarred and twisted, yearning for something more.

This is not about simple love; it’s about love that unravels, love that devours, love that demands rebirth. These relationships teeter on the edge of obsession and salvation, where the only way to heal is to burn away the person they used to be.

Will they rise from the ashes… or be lost to the darkness forever?

  1. In Falling for Autumn, we seek stories of young love, self-discovery, and transformation set against the backdrop of the fall season.

Autumn is a time for change—leaves fall, colors shift, and the world slows down, inviting reflection and growth. In this anthology, we explore how the season of falling leaves mirrors the personal journeys of our characters.

These are stories of romance, loss, and finding new paths—of relationships that blossom, break, and rebuild. Whether it's a first love or the rekindling of a forgotten connection, each tale should embrace the magic of autumn and the power of change.
Will your characters fall into each other’s arms, or will they fall apart only to find a new version of themselves?

Submission Requirements:

  1. In The Last Petal, we seek reimagined tales inspired by the classic "Beauty and the Beast" story.
The story of Beauty and the Beast has endured through generations, inspiring countless versions across cultures, genres, and eras. This anthology aims to explore the many facets of this beloved fairy tale, from retellings set in different historical periods to contemporary reboots, fantastical twists, and even dark, gothic versions.
These stories should stay rooted in the heart of the tale: a transformative relationship between two seemingly opposite individuals, with themes of love, redemption, sacrifice, and the power of inner beauty. However, we encourage writers to put their own creative spin on the story—whether that means shifting settings, reinterpreting the Beast's curse, adding new magical elements, or exploring untold parts of the story.
Whether it’s a fantasy world, a dystopian future, or a modern-day retelling, this anthology will celebrate all the different ways Beauty and the Beast can be retold and reimagined.

Submission Requirements:

  1. Theme:

In Breaking Chains, we seek stories about escaping the control of an abuser and finding the strength to rebuild one’s life. This anthology aims to shed light on the harrowing journey of individuals trapped in toxic relationships who manage to break free from manipulation, violence, and psychological abuse. The narratives will explore the emotional, psychological, and physical toll of being in an abusive relationship and the challenges faced during the difficult process of reclaiming one’s independence.

These stories may feature both fictional and real-life inspired scenarios, where the protagonists struggle with feelings of self-doubt, guilt, and fear of retaliation, but ultimately find the courage to take that first step toward freedom. The journey towards empowerment and self-love is central to these narratives, with a focus on personal strength, resilience, and the support systems that play a crucial role in healing.

    1. Respectful Handling of Sensitive Topics: Submissions must approach the subject of domestic abuse with care, dignity, and sensitivity. While the stories may include detailed depictions of toxic relationships, trauma, and the complexities of escaping abuse, it is essential to avoid glorifying violence or providing unrealistic portrayals of the journey.

    2. Trigger Warnings: Authors must provide appropriate content warnings for potentially triggering material, especially if explicit details about abuse, self-harm, or violence are included.

    3. Empowerment and Hope: Stories should ultimately reflect themes of empowerment, healing, and recovery, even if the path to freedom is difficult. While acknowledging the trauma and hardship, the narrative should inspire hope and show that a brighter future is possible.

    4. Realism and Emotional Accuracy: While fiction can take creative liberties, there must be an emotional realism in portraying the psychological impact of abuse. This includes, but is not limited to, the complexities of emotional manipulation, fear, and the process of rebuilding a sense of self-worth.

    5. Diversity and Inclusion: We welcome submissions from diverse voices and perspectives. Whether it’s different cultural backgrounds, experiences, or identities, it is crucial that a variety of experiences with abuse and recovery are represented. The anthology should reflect the fact that abuse can affect anyone, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic background.
